So, as I cooked dinner I figured I really should go check it out. It would be something new and different. (By now my readers should know that I love new and different things.) I do not know much about ukuleles. I know they look like tiny four-stringed guitars and I know they were invented in Hawaii. The sound reminds me of my trip to Hawaii with my brother years ago, and that was a great experience. I got myself up and out the door to head to see what exactly a ukulele orchestra was.
Well, as I stepped into the concert, the gloomy weather was the last thing on my mind. The strings created a rainbow of colorful sounds as they were plucked. The music brought bright, shining smiles to the faces of audience members. It was spectacular. I am so happy I had the energy to get myself out to see these fabulous musicians. Check out some of the videos and links below to see who the Philadelphia Ukulele Orchestra is.
