Happy Summer Break!

Hey Kiddos!

I know you may have seen me crying as you left on the last day of school, but I want to remind you that I am just so proud of you.  I know we will miss each other, but I also know that I will get quiet waves and winks in the hallway as you tiptoe by me in your straight, silent first grade lines starting in September. You are all amazing, hardworking children!

I want to keep you updated on what I am doing this summer.  I know many of you promised that you would write to me.  I will be checking my mailbox at school this summer for postcards and letters. I can't wait to hear what you have been up to!  If you have written a fiction or non-fiction book I would love to read that too!

You have all been picked up or taken home on the bus by now, and I am in the airport on the way to Nashville, Tennessee.  I am going to listen to and to learn about country music.  I do not know that much about country music, but I am always happy to learn new things!  I will let you know what I think about it after I experience it for myself.  Enjoy your summer break!

Keep cool,
Ms. Tricarico
